The Sectoral Commission which comprises 12 groups, carries out a wide range of activities aimed at promoting spiritual and moral values, and fellowship for children, youth, single adults, married couples, and senior citizens. SC groups also prepare couples for marriage through the Evenings for the Engaged programmes, provide counselling to our parishioners through the Emmaus Centre, and reach out to single-again persons through DAWN

Senior Members' Group
The objectives of the Senior Members' Group are to promote fellowship with senior members of SFX and other churches, and to look into their welfare.

Lifeline - College & Young Adult Ministry
Lifeline - College & Young Adults Ministry is a Roman Catholic ministry for young adults and students of private colleges in the Klang Valley, Malaysia. We belong to the Saint Francis Xavier parish, Petaling Jaya (Lifeline SFX).
Founded in 1991, Lifeline has grown from a group of 5 to 10 people, to an ever growing and maturing community of about 170 young people, with different sub-ministries and BEC Youth Groups.

Emmaus Centre of Counselling & Social Development
Emmaus is a counselling centre, staffed and managed completely by volunteers who are trained in the theories and practice of counselling. The Centre ministers to people with personal and family problems, with the aim of helping them become freer and more responsible to live fully, creatively, happily and harmoniously with others.

The LIFETEEN Ministry in the Church of St Francis Xavier, Petaling Jaya is part of the international Catholic Ministry LIFETEEN, Inc, that strives to fulfil its mission to lead teens closer to Christ by providing resources and formation that encourage vibrant Eucharistic celebrations and opportunities for teens to grow in their faith.
